Turkey has some of Europe’s busiest holiday airports. Istanbul has two airports, Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), both a long way from the city centre. On the Mediterranean, Antalya Airport serves Belek, Side, Alanya and Kemer, while Dalaman and Bodrum cover the Aegean and Lycian coasts. Because hotels are often far from the airport, a pre-booked private transfer is the standard way to arrive.
Look for a TÜRSAB licence number, which shows the company is a registered Turkish travel agency. Most companies charge a fixed price per vehicle, not per person, and many let you pay the driver on arrival in euro, pounds, dollars or lira. Mercedes Vito vans for up to six or eight passengers are the standard vehicle, with Sprinters and coaches for groups.

TÜRSAB is the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies. A TÜRSAB licence number shows the company is a registered travel agency in Turkey.
