Dalaman Airport terminals: international and domestic
Dalaman Airport (DLM) has two passenger buildings: the international terminal, used by holiday and charter flights from abroad, and the domestic terminal, used by flights from İstanbul, Ankara and other Turkish cities. Taxis wait outside both around the clock, and the shuttle buses board from platforms by the terminal exits. The airport is about 6 km from Dalaman town and sits roughly in the middle of the coast it serves: Göcek and Fethiye lie to the east, Dalyan and Köyceğiz to the west, and Marmaris further west again.
Dalaman Airport bus to Fethiye and Marmaris (Havaş and Muttaş)
Two operators run airport shuttles from Dalaman, on the same two routes and at the same fares. Both work around flight arrivals rather than a fixed clock-face timetable, which makes them the cheapest way from Dalaman Airport to Fethiye or Marmaris. The airport’s public transport page lists both operators.
Dalaman Airport to Fethiye by bus
Muttaş line 48-25 and the Havaş Fethiye service run from the airport via Dalaman, Göcek, Günlükbaşı and Adnan Menderes Boulevard to Fethiye’s intercity bus station (Fethiye Otogar). The full fare is 300 TL (about €5.50) and the ride takes around an hour; Göcek is 220 TL. You can ask the driver to stop at a point along the main road if it is closer to your hotel.
Dalaman Airport to Marmaris by bus
Muttaş line 48-26 and the Havaş Marmaris service run west via Ortaca, Köyceğiz and the Gökova junction to Marmaris bus station. The fare to Marmaris is 420 TL (about €7.60) and the trip takes around 90 minutes. Shorter fares are 220 TL to Ortaca, 270 TL to Köyceğiz and 300 TL to the Gökova junction (for Akyaka).
How the shuttles work
Muttaş says its buses meet every arriving flight: collect your bags, go to the Muttaş platform at the terminal exit and the bus leaves once passengers have boarded. Reservations are not taken and payment is by bank card. Havaş services are arranged around arriving flights too, but they are geared mainly to domestic arrivals – if you land on an international charter, the Muttaş bus is the one more likely to be waiting. Departure times change daily with the flight schedule and can be cancelled in bad weather, so check the Muttaş airport services page, call Muttaş on 444 48 01 or Havaş on 0850 222 0 487.
Dolmuş from Dalaman town
Local minibuses supervised by the metropolitan municipality also link Dalaman town centre with the airport, picking up and setting down at the departures level. They are useful if you are staying in Dalaman itself or want to connect with intercity buses from Dalaman bus station, but they are not designed for travellers with large suitcases.
The shuttles stop at the main bus stations, not at hotels. From Fethiye Otogar you will need a local minibus or taxi to reach Çalış, Hisarönü or Ölüdeniz, and from Marmaris bus station another short ride to İçmeler or Turunç.
Dalaman Airport taxi price
Taxis at Dalaman are run by the Dalaman Airport Taxi Cooperative, which is linked from the airport’s own website and publishes a fixed price list per vehicle. Its current taxi price list includes:
- Sarıgerme: 1,100 TL (about €20)
- Göcek: 1,400 TL (about €25)
- Dalyan: 1,650 TL (about €30)
- Fethiye: 3,000 TL (about €55)
- Hisarönü and Ölüdeniz: 3,500 TL (about €64)
- Marmaris: 5,000 TL (about €91)
- İçmeler: 5,200 TL (about €95)
- Kalkan: 6,500 TL (about €118)
- Kaş: 8,000 TL (about €145)
The cooperative also quotes prices in euros and pounds, which can differ slightly from the lira figure at the day’s exchange rate. Fares are paid at the destination. Before you set off, confirm the price with the driver, especially for villas outside the town centres, which may cost more.
Uber and taxi apps at Dalaman Airport
Uber lists an Uber Taxi service in Dalaman, including airport trips. In Turkey Uber books licensed taxis rather than private cars, so prices are close to normal taxi fares. Availability at a regional airport is limited, particularly late at night or when several charter flights land together, so treat it as a backup rather than your main plan.
Pre-booked private transfers from Dalaman Airport
Dalaman is a resort airport: almost nobody is staying at the airport’s doorstep, and most hotels and villas are 30 minutes to over two hours away. That is why a pre-booked private transfer is popular here. A driver meets you in arrivals with a name sign, follows your flight if it is late and takes you straight to your accommodation at a price agreed in advance, usually per vehicle and often quoted in euros or pounds. It is worth considering when:
- you are going to Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü, Kalkan or Kaş, where a bus means at least one change;
- you land late at night or very early;
- you are a family needing child seats, or a group that needs a minivan for six to eight people and luggage;
- your villa is on a hillside road that is hard to find without directions.

Dalaman Airport to Göcek, Ölüdeniz, Kalkan and Kaş
Dalaman Airport to Göcek
Göcek, with its marinas, is the closest of the eastern resorts, about 30 minutes by road. The Fethiye shuttle stops there for 220 TL, and a taxi is 1,400 TL on the cooperative list.
Dalaman Airport to Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü
Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü are in the hills and on the coast south of Fethiye, roughly 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport. The budget route is the shuttle to Fethiye Otogar, then a local minibus to Ölüdeniz. A taxi costs 3,500 TL. See Fethiye transfers for operators who cover the area.
Dalaman Airport to Marmaris
Marmaris is about 95 km west, around 90 minutes by road. The shuttle is 420 TL to the bus station; a taxi is 5,000 TL, or 5,200 TL to İçmeler. Compare Marmaris transfers for a fixed door-to-door price.
Dalaman Airport to Kalkan and Kaş
Kalkan and Kaş are well beyond Fethiye along the coast road, roughly 1 hour 45 minutes to Kalkan and 2 hours 15 minutes to Kaş. There is no direct airport bus; by public transport you would take the shuttle to Fethiye and then a coastal minibus. Taxis cost 6,500 TL to Kalkan and 8,000 TL to Kaş, so for most people a pre-booked transfer makes sense – see Kalkan transfers.
Bodrum
Bodrum is more than 200 km from Dalaman, and Milas-Bodrum Airport is far closer to the peninsula. If you are heading there, check flights into Bodrum Airport instead.
Tips for arriving at Dalaman Airport
- Night arrivals. Many charter flights land late. Muttaş says it meets every flight, but if you arrive after midnight, a pre-booked transfer or the taxi rank avoids waiting at a bus station in Fethiye or Marmaris in the small hours.
- Use the official taxi rank. Ignore people who approach you inside the terminal offering rides. Use the cooperative’s taxis at the rank outside, and agree the listed price before setting off.
- Payment. The shuttle buses take bank cards. Taxis are paid at the destination; carry some lira in case the card machine is not working. Transfer companies often accept euros or pounds.
- Tipping. Not expected in taxis; rounding up is common. For a driver who helps with heavy luggage, a small tip is appreciated.
- Peak traffic. Summer weekends bring waves of charter flights, long passport queues and busy roads around Fethiye. On the return trip, leave plenty of time, and note the Muttaş buses back to the airport do not take reservations.
