Tignes is part of the Espace Killy ski area, shared with Val d’Isère, and is one of the longer drives from Geneva. Most skiers fly into Geneva, Lyon or Grenoble and take a shared shuttle, a coach or a private car. Public coaches are booked through Altibus, which covers over 80 Alpine resorts; the 2026/27 timetable is still pending.
Shared coach operators run from Lyon Airport and Grenoble to Tignes in winter. The nearest train station is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, at the foot of the valley.
Allow 60–90 minutes extra on February Saturdays, the busiest days on the roads. Private car prices are per vehicle for up to 8 people, so they suit groups. If you land in Geneva’s French sector, tell your operator, as drivers wait on the Swiss side by default. Shuttles often share the route with Val d’Isère and Les Arcs.
Shared shuttles cost about €60–85 per person, with some from about €49.
Yes, public coaches run direct from Geneva Airport with no change.
About 3h–3h30, and longer on February Saturdays.
