Getting around Paris: travel guides
Transfers in Paris
Paris has three airports and a regulated taxi system with flat fares to two of them. Taxi firms, VTC chauffeurs and shuttle companies also cover the train stations, La Défense and Disneyland Paris.
Paris airport taxi prices
- CDG Airport: about €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank, 35–60 minutes
- Orly Airport: about €36 to the Left Bank and €45 to the Right Bank, 25–40 minutes
- Beauvais Airport: no flat fare, about €185 by day on the meter
Flat fares are per car, whatever the number of passengers, and there is no luggage supplement. A booking adds about €4 (immediate) or €7 (in advance), and a 5th passenger adds about €5.50.
Chauffeurs and VTC in Paris
VTC cars must be pre-booked and carry a red sticker with their register number. They suit business travel, groups and trips to Disneyland Paris, about 32 km east of the city, where taxis run on the meter.
Tips
Wheelchairs and guide dogs travel at no extra charge in regulated taxis. The Roissybus from Opéra stopped in March 2026, so a taxi or the RER B is the easiest way to CDG with luggage. For the cheapest airport link, the RER B from CDG and metro line 14 from Orly both cost about €14.
