Transfers to Constanța
Constanța is Romania’s main Black Sea port and the gateway to the resorts of Mamaia, Eforie, Costinești, Neptun and Vama Veche. In summer it is one of the busiest destinations for private transfers in the country.
Which airport for Constanța?
Constanța has its own Mihail Kogălniceanu Airport (CND), about 25 km north-west of the city, but it has few flights. Most visitors fly into Bucharest Otopeni (OTP) and drive about 3 hours on the A2 motorway, the “Sun Motorway”.
Transfer prices
A private car from Otopeni to Constanța or Mamaia usually costs around €150–200, and a minivan for up to 8 people more. The price is per vehicle, so it works out cheap for families. Ask whether the motorway toll at the Fetești bridge is included.
Port and cruise transfers
Cruise ships call at the Port of Constanța in summer. Local companies can pick up passengers at the port for tours of the city, the Roman ruins and the Danube Delta, or for transfers to Bucharest for a flight home.
For cross-border trips, Constanța is about 2 hours from Varna and the Bulgarian coast; see Bulgaria transfers.
