Transfers in Albufeira
Albufeira is one of the busiest resorts in the Algarve. It lies about 36 km west of Faro Airport, about 45 minutes by car. Most transfer firms in the region cover the town, the old quarter and the nearby beach areas. Many visitors arrive late in the evening, so a pre-booked car is popular.

- Private transfer: about €38–40 per vehicle
- Metered taxi: about €60–70
- Vamus Aerobus (route 56): €11 single, a few departures a day
- 49-seat coach for groups: about €358
Taxi fares rise by about 20% at weekends, in the evening and for cars with more than four seats.
Albufeira by train
The “Albufeira” station is actually in Ferreiras, about 7 km by road from the town. Trains from Faro are infrequent, so most visitors choose road transport.

- Albufeira → Faro: city, station and airport
Book a per-vehicle transfer for families and groups, as it is often cheaper than a taxi. Ask for child seats when you book, as many companies offer them. If you arrive late, a pre-booked driver usually tracks your flight and waits for you. For large groups, minivans and coaches are also available.
