Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) is about 7 km north-east of central Lisbon. It handled about 36 million passengers in 2025. All arrivals use Terminal 1. Terminal 2 is for low-cost departures only and is linked by a free shuttle bus. A new airport is planned at Alcochete, but it is not expected to open fully until around 2034, so all flights still use this airport for now.
Some drivers quote €30–50 or refuse the meter, so insist on the meter or pre-book a fixed price.
The Aerobus links the airport with Cais do Sodré and Sete Rios. Luggage costs about €1.60 extra in a taxi. Ride-hailing apps also operate at the airport. If you land late at night, a pre-booked transfer is the calmest option, as the driver tracks your flight and waits for you in the arrivals hall. Always ask the taxi driver for a receipt.
About €10–20 on the meter, taking 20–30 minutes.
Yes, the red line runs from the airport from about 06:30 to 01:00.
All arrivals use Terminal 1.
