Kraków taxis and private transfers
Kraków’s old town and Kazimierz are easy to walk, but taxis and private transfer firms are useful for the airport, day trips and the mountains. Many firms run their own cars and 8-seat vans.
Kraków taxi prices in 2026
The city sets maximum taxi fares. For 2026 they are PLN 9 to start, then PLN 4 per km on weekdays from 6:00 to 22:00 and PLN 6 per km at night, on Sundays and on holidays in zone 1. Zone 2 is capped at PLN 8 or PLN 12 per km, and waiting at PLN 55 per hour. You pay only what the meter or app shows. Some dispatchers charge well under the cap, from about PLN 2.99 per km by day.
