Poland airport transfers and taxis
Poland has several busy airports. Warsaw is served by Chopin and the low-cost airport at Modlin, the south by Kraków and Katowice, the Baltic coast by Gdańsk, and the west by Wrocław and Poznań. Most lie 7–16 km from their city, so taxis and trains are quick. Modlin and Katowice are further out, at about 42 km and 34 km.
Poland taxi fares and airport trains
Warsaw and Kraków set maximum taxi fares. In Warsaw the cap is PLN 10 to start and PLN 5.00 per km by day or PLN 7.50 at night and on Sundays. In Kraków it is PLN 9 to start and PLN 4 or PLN 6 per km. Wrocław’s council caps per-km rates too, while firms in Gdańsk and Poznań publish their own tariffs. Trains link the Chopin, Kraków and Gdańsk airports with the centre in about 17–30 minutes.
