Bugibba taxis and airport transfers
Buġibba, Qawra and St Paul’s Bay form a big resort area in the north of Malta. They are a longer ride from Malta Airport than Valletta or Sliema, so pre-booking makes sense, especially for families and groups. Several coach and cab companies are based nearby and cover the area day and night.
Malta Airport to Bugibba taxi prices
The airport taxi counter fare is about €28. Pre-booked cab firms list fixed fares of about €26–28 for one to four people. A van for larger groups costs about €40. Coach companies also carry tour groups between the airport and hotels in Buġibba and Qawra.

Two tallinja Direct routes serve Buġibba and Qawra, both about once an hour:
- TD1: Airport, Rabat, Buġibba, Mellieħa and Ċirkewwa, €3.50
- TD5: Airport, Rabat and Buġibba, €3
Pay in cash or by contactless card on board. With heavy luggage, a taxi is faster.
Trips from Bugibba
Mellieħa and the Ċirkewwa ferry are a short drive north. From there, the Gozo Channel ferry crosses to Gozo in about 25 minutes. Local cab firms also run sightseeing trips at fixed hourly rates.
