Siófok transfers and taxis
Siófok is a resort town on the south shore of Lake Balaton. It sits right on the M7 motorway and route 7, about 105 km from Budapest, and Budapest Airport is about 150 km away. The railway station and the bus station stand side by side in the town centre.

- Budapest Airport: about HUF 70,000–80,000 by taxi for up to three or four people, about HUF 99,000 for eight
- Hévíz-Balaton Airport: about HUF 60,000–70,000
- Vienna Airport: about HUF 140,000–150,000
- Hévíz: about HUF 65,000
- Siófok-Kiliti airfield: about HUF 8,000–10,000 from the centre
Airport fares are fixed in advance and usually include VAT, so confirm the number of passengers and bags when you book.
Siófok trains and local taxis
From 20 June to 30 August, Balaton InterCity and Tópart expressz trains run hourly from Budapest-Déli via Székesfehérvár and take about 73 minutes. Seat reservations are required on these trains. Local taxis charge a flat fare of about HUF 5,000 within the town centre. Ferries cross the lake between Siófok and Balatonfüred several times a day.
On summer weekends, traffic on the M7 can add 30–60 minutes, so allow extra time before a flight.
