Debrecen Airport transfers

Debrecen International Airport (IATA DEB, ICAO LHDC) is about 5 km south-south-west of the centre of Debrecen. It is a small airport. Wizz Air closed its base here in October 2024 and cut most routes, but the airport still lists Wizz Air flights to Larnaca, London, Santorini and Paris, plus Freebird to Antalya. Lufthansa has served Munich.

Debrecen Airport bus and taxi

DKV buses are timed to flights and take normal city tickets, about HUF 480–500 for a single. Airport1 runs to the main railway station, and Airport2 runs to the north of the city. Local taxi firms also serve the airport for the short ride into town.

Debrecen Airport transfer prices

  • Nyíregyháza: about HUF 30,000 for 1–3 people
  • Miskolc, or Oradea in Romania: about HUF 50,000 for 1–3 people
  • Eger: some Eger taxi firms also cover Debrecen Airport, so ask for a quote
  • Budapest Airport: shuttles leave from Debrecen city, so book a pick-up in town

One transfer firm does not run pick-ups for arrivals between midnight and 06:00, so check before you book a late flight. With so few flights, it is worth booking any transfer as soon as your plans are fixed.
