Transfers to Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez has no airport of its own and no motorway into the village. Most visitors fly into Nice, Marseille or Toulon–Hyères, then take a private car, a train and ferry, or a boat for the last stretch.

Airport to Saint-Tropez prices

  • From Nice Airport: about 95 km, private cars from about €250–300
  • From Marseille Airport: about 158 km, one local company lists about €270 per car
  • From La Môle–Saint-Tropez airport: about 15 km

The drive from Nice takes about 2 hours without traffic, but much longer in July and August, when the last stretch can be gridlocked. Routes come via the A8 at Le Muy, the A57 or the coast road.

Boats and public transport

Fast boats from Sainte-Maxime, Port Grimaud and other Gulf ports cut out the traffic; from Sainte-Maxime they take about 15 minutes and run every 30 minutes in high season. A seasonal direct ferry from Nice port takes about 2.5 hours. Without a car, take the train from Nice to Saint-Raphaël, then a ferry or bus.

Tips

In summer, ask your driver to drop you at Sainte-Maxime or Port Grimaud and finish by boat. For the rest of the coast, see Cannes and Nice.
