Nicosia taxis and airport transfers
Nicosia, the capital, has no airport of its own. The nearest is Larnaca Airport, about 50–55 km away, or 40–50 minutes by car. Nicosia firms run airport taxis, chauffeurs for business visitors and minibuses for groups. Drivers can also meet you at Paphos Airport, though the trip is much longer.
Larnaca Airport to Nicosia taxi prices
Indicative fares are about €55–75 per car, and published fixed prices reach about €75. The official meter fare for the 50.6 km trip is about €40 by day and €47 at night, plus luggage. Night trips and groups of five or six cost more.
Nicosia airport shuttle and buses
The Kapnos Airport Shuttle runs from Larnaca Airport to its Shuttle Station on Kyrenias Avenue. The trip takes 40–50 minutes and costs about €8–10 per adult. The station is outside the central pedestrian area, so you may need a taxi or bus onward. Local city buses are run by OSEL. A taxi is easier with heavy bags.
Transfers from Nicosia
Published fixed fares from Limassol to Nicosia are about €85–100. From Paphos Airport, a fixed fare to Nicosia is about €150. Some Nicosia taxis take cards and bank transfer as well as cash.
