Transfers and taxi in Zadar

Zadar is a historic town on the northern Dalmatian coast, famous for the Sea Organ and its sunsets. It is also a base for islands, national parks and summer festivals.

Airport transfers

Zadar Airport (ZAD) is only 12 km away; a private transfer costs about €35. Some travellers fly into Split Airport instead, about 1 hour 45 minutes away, and local companies cover that route too.

Cruise port and marinas

Cruise ships and ferries use Gaženica port, a few kilometres south of the old town. Zadar companies pick up cruise passengers for transfers and short tours, and also serve marinas for sailors.

Day trips from Zadar

  • Krka National Park – about 1 hour
  • Plitvice Lakes – about 1.5–2 hours
  • Paklenica National Park – about 45 minutes
  • Kornati islands – by boat

Novalja and Pag

In summer many young travellers head to Zrće beach in Novalja on Pag island. A private car or minibus from Zadar is easier than the bus, especially at night.

For longer trips, Zadar companies drive to Split, Šibenik and Zagreb.
