Split Airport transfers
Split Airport (SPU), also called Resnik, is about 25 km west of Split and only 6 km from Trogir. In summer it is one of the busiest airports in Croatia, so pre-booking a transfer saves you from taxi queues and haggling.
Split Airport transfer prices
A private car from the airport to Split centre or the ferry port usually costs €40–50 and takes 25–40 minutes depending on traffic. Trogir is only about 10 minutes away. Longer transfers go to the Makarska Riviera (about 1.5 hours), Šibenik (about 45 minutes), Zadar (about 1.5 hours, around €165) and Dubrovnik (3–3.5 hours, around €300–350).
Ferry port and islands
If you are going to Hvar, Brač or Vis, tell the company your ferry or catamaran time. The driver can drop you at Split port, and some companies also arrange speedboat transfers straight to the islands.
Vans and minibuses
Prices are per vehicle, so families and groups often choose an 8-seat Mercedes Vito or V-Class. Larger groups, weddings and sports teams can book 19-seat minibuses or 50-seat buses.
Tips
The road along the coast gets busy in July and August, so allow extra time for your return flight. Drivers track your flight and wait with a name sign in arrivals.
From Split Airport, many travellers continue to Medjugorje and Mostar, about 2.5–3 hours away.
