M. R. Štefánik Airport lies about 9 km north-east of Bratislava city centre. Ryanair has a base here and Wizz Air also flies. City buses, taxis and pre-booked cars all serve the terminal, so getting into town is easy at most hours.
The official taxi rank is in front of Arrivals, with prices shown on info panels. Cash, Mastercard, Visa and Amex are accepted. A phone-ordered radio taxi to the centre costs about €8 and a pre-booked car about €15. Fixed prices from local transfer firms run from about €18 to €40 per car, or about €25–55 for a van.
Vienna Airport is about 50 km west, and coach lines link the two airports. A private car costs about €45–75. Cars to Bratislava Airport cost about €60 from Piešťany, about €140–150 from Žilina and about €155 from Banská Bystrica.
