Transfers to Poiana Brașov
Poiana Brașov is Romania’s best-known ski resort, sitting at about 1,000 m on the slopes of Postăvarul mountain, only 12 km above Brașov. Its pistes, hotels and ski schools make it popular with families and groups from the UK, Israel and the rest of Europe.
From Brașov-Ghimbav Airport
The closest airport is Brașov-Ghimbav (GHV), about 30 minutes away. A private car for up to three people costs from about 135 RON, and a van for up to eight about 210 RON. This is the fastest option if you can find a flight.
From Bucharest Otopeni Airport
Most skiers fly into Bucharest Otopeni (OTP). The transfer to Poiana Brașov is about 185 km and takes 3 to 3.5 hours. Expect about €130–170 for a private car and more for a minibus. On Saturdays in peak season the Prahova Valley road gets busy, so allow extra time.

- Space for skis and snowboards (ski racks or a larger van)
