Transfers to Mamaia
Mamaia is Romania’s most popular beach resort, an 8 km strip of sand between the Black Sea and Lake Siutghiol, just north of Constanța. In July and August it is busy with hotels, clubs and festivals, and private transfers are in high demand.
From Bucharest Otopeni Airport
Most visitors fly into Bucharest Otopeni (OTP). The drive to Mamaia is about 240 km and takes roughly 3 hours on the A2 motorway, more on Friday evenings and summer weekends. A private car usually costs around €150–200 and a minivan for groups more. Prices are per vehicle, not per person.
From Constanța Airport
Mihail Kogălniceanu Airport (CND) is only about 25 minutes from Mamaia, but it has few scheduled flights, mainly in summer. If your flight lands there, a transfer is short and cheap.
Booking tips for Mamaia
- Book early for July and August weekends
- Give the exact hotel name; Mamaia is long and some hotels are at the northern end
- Ask if the A2 toll is included in the price
- Ask for child seats in advance
