Mellieħa taxis and airport transfers
Mellieħa is in the far north of Malta, close to the Ċirkewwa ferry for Gozo. It is one of the longer rides from Malta Airport, so most visitors book a fixed-price cab. Local firms run 24-hour lines, and some take pets. Drivers will meet you at the airport with a name board.
Malta Airport to Mellieħa taxi prices
The airport taxi counter fare is about €33. Pre-booked cab firms list fixed fares of about €35 for one to four people, or about €45 for a van. Some drivers wait up to an hour after landing at no charge. Fares are agreed in advance, so the price you agree is the price you pay.
Mellieħa airport bus
tallinja Direct route TD1 links the airport with Rabat, Buġibba, Mellieħa and Ċirkewwa about once an hour. The fare is €3.50, paid in cash or by contactless card. It is cheap, but slower than a taxi.
