Private drivers also go to Lugano from about €220, St. Moritz from about €350 and Verona from about €439. There is no direct train from Malpensa to Como: you change at Saronno or Milano Centrale. Prices are usually per vehicle, so a private car can suit families with luggage.
Malpensa to Saronno takes about 20 minutes by train, and Milano Centrale to Como San Giovanni about 36 minutes. A six-seat van costs more than a sedan: one Milan company lists about €220 to Milan and €320 to Lake Como. Some reports still quote €110 for the Malpensa taxi, so check the current fare.
