Dublin taxi and transfers
Dublin is a compact capital, but trips to the airport, the ferry port and other Irish cities are where a transfer earns its keep. Local firms range from metered taxis and accessible vans to Mercedes chauffeurs and coach companies for large groups.
Dublin to Dublin Airport taxi prices
The airport is about 10 km north of the centre. Some taxi firms publish fixed fares: about €25 from Finglas, €35–40 from inner southside areas such as Ballsbridge and Rathmines, and €50–60 from Dún Laoghaire, Dundrum and Dalkey. Bray is about €90. Metered taxis follow the NTA maximum fare of €4.40 to start and €1.32 per km by day, plus €3 if you pre-book.
Dublin to Belfast by train and coach
The Enterprise train leaves from Dublin Connolly and takes about 2 hours to Belfast Grand Central, with up to hourly departures. Dublin Express route 785 picks up at Custom House Quay and Pearse Street and takes about 2 h 20 min.
Chauffeurs and day trips from Dublin
Chauffeur firms offer private day trips to places such as Newgrange, Glendalough and Belfast, plus golf and wedding transport. Long transfers are priced per car, for example from about €460 to Galway and €560 to Cork from Dublin Airport.
