Szeged transfers and shuttles
Szeged is a city in southern Hungary, about 163 km from Budapest by road. The M5 motorway runs along the city border, north towards Kecskemét and Budapest and south towards Subotica, Novi Sad and Belgrade. The Serbian border is just outside town.
Szeged to Budapest Airport shuttle prices
Shared shuttles to Budapest Airport are priced per person and get cheaper as your group grows:
- Shared seat: about HUF 8,700–10,700 per person, depending on group size
- Priority service: about HUF 15,200 for one person
- Meeting with a name sign: about HUF 4,500 extra
- Night trips: about HUF 9,000 extra
Bookings made within 72 hours of travel can cost about 30% more, so book early. Shuttles also serve central Budapest, so you can use the same service for a city trip.
Szeged trains, trams and local airport
InterCity trains from Budapest-Nyugati take about 2 h 10 to 2 h 20, and regional trains about 3 hours. Since November 2021 a tram-train has run to Hódmezővásárhely, and international trains run to Subotica, so the city is a handy base for northern Serbia. Szeged also has a small international airfield. For transfers in the capital, see our Budapest guide or the Hungary overview.
