Cologne Bonn Airport transfers 24/7
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) lies 12 km south-west of central Frankfurt. The drive takes only 10–15 minutes, and the airport has its own regional and long-distance train stations.
A metered taxi to the centre costs about €35–45. Pre-booked transfers are often cheaper: one firm lists the city centre from about €25 for up to 4 people, or about €35 for up to 8. Extras such as a meet and greet in the arrivals hall or a child seat usually cost more, so ask when you book. Do not confuse FRA with Frankfurt-Hahn, a separate airport about 120 km away.
S-Bahn S8 and S9 leave the regional station under Terminal 1, concourse B, about every 15 minutes and reach the Hauptbahnhof in about 10–14 minutes. The single ticket is fare level 4, about €6.30, not the cheaper city fare. The long-distance station sits on the high-speed line to Cologne, with about 10 trains an hour. About a quarter of local passengers arrive by rail and 15% by taxi.
About €35–45 on the meter, or from about €25 pre-booked.
S-Bahn S8 and S9 take about 10–14 minutes.
A single costs about €6.30 at fare level 4.
