Ostrava lies about 360 km from Prague by road. Its own Leoš Janáček Airport at Mošnov is small, and Katowice or Kraków often have cheaper flights, so fixed-price airport taxis are a big part of local transport.

Ostrava Airport to city centre

Mošnov is about 25 km from the city. Bus 333 runs to Ostrava ÚAN, the central bus station, and trains run from the airport station via Ostrava-Svinov to Ostrava hl.n., timed to flights. A taxi to the centre costs from about CZK 500.
