Brno transfers and taxis

Brno is about 208 km from Prague by road. Many visitors fly into Prague or Vienna rather than Brno’s own airport, so long airport transfers are a big part of the local market. Trains and coaches to Prague are frequent and cheap.

Prague to Brno by train, coach or car

• Train: about 2 h 37 min from Praha hl.n., with ČD about every 30 minutes and several other operators
• Coach: FlixBus, RegioJet and others in about 2.5–3 hours, for about CZK 250–500
• Car: about 2 hours by road
• From Prague Airport: the Airport Express bus to the main station, then a train; a private taxi or shuttle costs about CZK 4,000–8,000

Brno to Vienna Airport transfers

Direct coaches run day and night between Vienna Airport and Brno (Grand Hotel stop) in about 1.5 hours, from about CZK 300 if booked early. By train, change at Wien Hbf. Brno taxi firms publish fixed fares of about CZK 3,900–4,000 per car to Vienna Airport and about CZK 4,900–5,200 to Prague Airport, often before VAT.

Brno Airport and Ostrava

Flying into Brno Airport? Buses 21 and 77 run to the city in under half an hour. The official airport taxi charges a fixed CZK 500 to the centre and CZK 4,500 to Ostrava, Bratislava or Vienna.
