Eindhoven has its own airport a short ride from the centre, and local taxi firms also drive to bigger airports in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Booked online, many fares are fixed even if the ride takes longer.

How taxis work in Eindhoven
Licensed taxis have a lit roof sign and blue number plates. You can’t hail them in the street, so use a taxi stand or phone a local company. Metered rides follow the national maximum tariff; one local firm starts at about €3.60 plus €2.65 per km and €0.49 per minute.
Groups and families
Group taxis take up to eight people and can collect from several addresses. At least one firm carries a child seat in every car. For Schiphol or Brussels, a fixed fare agreed in advance is usually the simplest choice. Some drivers meet arrivals with a name sign and move the pickup time automatically if your flight is late.
