Tivat Airport (TIV) is the main airport for the Montenegrin coast. It sits on the Bay of Kotor, about 4 km from Tivat and Porto Montenegro, 8 km from Kotor and about 20 km from Budva.

Taxi or pre-booked transfer?

Licensed city taxis wait outside the terminal, and local dispatch numbers such as 19729 work in Tivat. A pre-booked transfer gives you a fixed price, a driver with a name sign and free waiting if your flight is late, which is useful at peak times.

Groups and minibuses

Montenegrin companies have minivans for up to 8 people, Sprinters for 19 and buses for 30–50 passengers. This is ideal for weddings at Porto Montenegro and Luštica Bay, and for sports and tour groups.

Tips

The road from Tivat to Budva climbs over the hill at Trojica and gets busy in July and August. Allow extra time for departures.
