Getting to Prizren

Prizren is Kosovo’s most beautiful historic town, with an Ottoman old centre, a stone bridge and a hilltop fortress. It hosts the popular DokuFest film festival every August. The town is in the south of Kosovo, close to the borders with Albania and North Macedonia.

Prizren transfer prices

  • Pristina Airport → Prizren: about €50 by car or €60 by minivan (71 km, about 1 h 15 min)
  • Pristina → Prizren: about €55
  • Prizren → Tirana Airport: about 2.5–3 hours via the Kukës motorway

Which airport?

Pristina is the closest airport, but Tirana is also a good option for Prizren thanks to the motorway through Kukës, and fares to Tirana are sometimes cheaper. Private drivers can collect you at either airport.

Tips

Book ahead during DokuFest and the summer holidays, when many visitors arrive. Prices are per car, so a minivan is good value for families. Agree on the price and payment method before the trip.

Local drivers can also take you on day trips from Prizren to the Rugova Valley, the Mirusha waterfalls or the Sharr Mountains, and some cross into Albania for the Lake Koman ferry. Ask for a combined price if you plan several trips with the same driver.
