Transfers to Peja
Peja (Peć) is a lively town in western Kosovo at the mouth of the dramatic Rugova Gorge. It is the main base for hiking the Peaks of the Balkans trail, climbing, via ferrata and skiing in the mountains around Boge.

Hikers and the Rugova Valley
Local tour operators run transfers to guesthouses in Rugova and to trailheads, and some arrange the border permits needed for cross-border hiking routes. 4×4 vehicles are useful on mountain roads, especially in spring and autumn.
Getting to Montenegro and Albania
Peja is close to the Kulla border crossing into Montenegro, and a popular route goes to Valbona and Theth in Albania. Bring your passport and allow time at the border in summer.
