Airport transfers in Kosovo

Kosovo is small, and most visitors arrive at Pristina Airport (PRN), officially Prishtina International Airport “Adem Jashari”. Many travellers also fly into Skopje or Tirana and continue by road. Kosovo uses the euro, and Uber and Bolt do not operate here, so local taxi companies and private drivers are the main options.

Main destinations

  • Pristina – the capital, about 15 km from the airport
  • Prizren – the historic Ottoman town, about 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport
  • Peja – gateway to the Rugova Valley and the Peaks of the Balkans trail

Typical prices

A taxi from Pristina Airport to the city costs about €15–25. Pristina to Prizren or Peja is about €55 by private taxi, Pristina to Skopje about €70–90 and Pristina to Tirana about €150–180.

Border tips

Crossings into Albania, North Macedonia and Montenegro are routine. Travel from Kosovo into Serbia is different: if you entered Kosovo from another country or by air, Serbia may refuse entry, so check the latest advice before planning a Pristina–Belgrade transfer.

Booking tips

Agree the price before the trip, ask whether the taxi takes cards (many are cash only) and give your flight number for airport pickups.
