Getting to Val Gardena by train and bus
The nearest railway stations are Ponte Gardena, Chiusa, Bressanone and Bolzano. Ortisei is about 20 minutes from the Chiusa exit of the A22 motorway. Shared ski shuttles run to the valley in winter, and the regional public transport network also serves it. For the eastern Dolomites, see Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Shared ski shuttles are priced per person, which suits solo travellers and couples. Families with ski bags may prefer a private car at a fixed price per vehicle. From Bolzano Airport the trip is only about 40 km. Ask your driver to confirm the pick-up time once your flight lands.
