Arriving in Venice from Treviso

Cars can only reach Piazzale Roma, the last point in Venice reachable by road. From there you continue by vaporetto, water taxi or on foot, so tell your driver where your hotel is. If you are staying in Mestre, a car can take you right to the door.

Treviso or Venice Airport?

Venice Marco Polo Airport is closer to the lagoon, and taxis from there to Piazzale Roma cost about €40. Day-trippers to Venice should check the 2026 access fee: on 60 days between 3 April and 26 July it costs €5 if booked four or more days ahead, or €10 later. Overnight guests are exempt. Drivers from the Treviso area also cover trips to Cortina d’Ampezzo and the Dolomites.
