Transfers in Naples
Naples is the gateway to Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi Coast. Naples Capodichino Airport is only about 6 km from the centre, around 15 minutes by car in normal traffic.
Naples Airport to the city prices
- Taxi to Stazione Centrale or Piazza Garibaldi: about €21 fixed fare
- Taxi to the port, Molo Beverello or Piazza Municipio: about €24
- Taxi to Mergellina or Via Partenope hotels: about €28.50
- Shared taxi to the station or Molo Beverello: about €6 per person, with at least three passengers
- Alibus shuttle: about €5, 20–30 minutes to the station
Naples cruise port
Ferries and hydrofoils use Molo Beverello, and big cruise ships use Molo Angioino, a short walk from the historic centre. On busy days the taxi queue at Beverello can take 45–90 minutes, so a pre-booked car can save time.
Naples to the coast
From the port, Sorrento is about 52 km (70 minutes) and Positano about 62 km (85 minutes). Local private drivers charge about €200 per car to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello or Sorrento. See our Amalfi Coast guide for buses and shuttles.
The Alibus runs every 10–25 minutes from 06:00 to 23:30, and the ticket is valid for 90 minutes on city transport. A Metro Line 1 station at the airport is planned for 2027.
