Florence private driver for airports, ports & tours
Florence Airport (Peretola, FLR) is only about 8 km from the historic centre of Florence. You can take a taxi at a flat rate, the tram, or a pre-booked private car.
Licensed NCC vehicles hold permits for Florence’s limited traffic zone (ZTL), so they can drive to hotels in the historic centre. This helps if you have heavy luggage. Longer routes are popular too: one Tuscan company lists Florence Airport to Lucca at about €250.
Many flights also use Pisa Airport, about 1.5 hours from Florence by bus. A private car from Pisa to Florence costs about €220. For the coast and the Cinque Terre, Pisa is often closer. Remember that the taxi meter applies for trips outside the historic centre.
Give your flight number and hotel name when you book, so the driver knows where to stop. Some Florence drivers also go to Bologna Airport and the cruise ports at Livorno and La Spezia.
The flat rate to the historic centre is about €25 by day.
It is about 8 km from the historic centre.
Yes, the T2 tram reaches Santa Maria Novella in about 20 minutes for about €1.70.
