Transfers to Jahorina
Jahorina is the largest ski resort in Bosnia and Herzegovina and hosted the women’s alpine events of the 1984 Winter Olympics. It lies about 30 km south-east of Sarajevo, and the drive takes 45–60 minutes depending on snow. There is no regular airport shuttle, so most skiers book a private transfer.
Jahorina transfer prices
- Sarajevo Airport → Jahorina: about 100 KM or €45–55
- Sarajevo city → Jahorina: from about €45
- Dubrovnik or Split → Jahorina: from about €275
Ski packages
Some companies combine the transfer with ski rental, lift passes and lessons in an all-inclusive ski day, which is useful for beginners or day visitors staying in Sarajevo. Vans and buses are available for ski clubs and school groups.
Winter driving tips
Snow chains or winter tyres are required in winter, and the mountain road can be slow after heavy snowfall. Professional drivers know the road and track your flight, so you do not need to worry about delays. Book early for the New Year and February school holidays.
Most Sarajevo transfer companies can also take you back to the airport at the end of your ski week.
