Corfu Airport to Corfu Town & Resorts: Bus, Taxi Prices 2026

Updated · 8 min read

How to get from Corfu Airport to Corfu Town and the resorts in 2026: blue bus 15 times and fares, taxi prices, green KTEL buses to Sidari, Kassiopi, Kavos and Paleokastritsa, and private transfers.

The cheapest way from Corfu Airport to Corfu Town is the blue city bus line 15, which stops in front of the terminal and runs to the KTEL coach station, San Rocco Square and the port for a city-bus fare of about €1.30–2 (more if you pay on board), taking around 10–20 minutes. A taxi from the rank opposite the terminal costs around €20–30 to the town and takes 10–15 minutes, because the airport is only about 3 km from the centre. For the resorts in the north and south of the island there is no direct bus, so most visitors use a taxi or a pre-booked car; compare operators on our Corfu Airport transfers page.

Corfu Airport bus 15 to Corfu Town

Corfu has two bus networks. The blue buses (Astiko KTEL Kerkyras) cover Corfu Town and the villages around it, and line 15 is the only public bus that serves the airport. The green buses (KTEL Kerkyras) run to the resorts and villages around the island, but they do not call at the airport.

The line 15 stop is in front of Terminal Building A. The route is airport – KTEL intercity bus station – Corfu Town (San Rocco Square, also called Saroko Square) – port, with two stops inside the port: one behind the ferry ticket offices and one near the port authority and the terminal for the boats to Albania. Most visitors staying in the Old Town get off at San Rocco and walk 10–15 minutes from there; for Spianada Square and the Liston, stay on towards the port or walk down from San Rocco.

Bus 15 timetable and seasonality

Line 15 runs to a seasonal timetable, and the operator changes it several times a year. Under the timetable in force from 24 October 2026, buses leave the airport at 06:55 and then roughly every hour from 07:30 to 21:30, with late departures at 22:20 and 22:45. The first and last two departures terminate at San Rocco rather than the port. Buses from the port to the airport run roughly hourly from about 07:45 to 21:50. In summer the line usually runs more often, around every 30 minutes at the busiest times, but the 2027 summer timetable had not been published when this guide was written. Check the timetable on the Astiko KTEL Kerkyras website or the operator’s app before you travel.

Bus 15 ticket price

The airport line is in Zone A of the city network. The operator lists a Zone A single at €1.30 when bought before boarding, from the ticket kiosks near the stops or from the machines at San Rocco Square, which take cash and cards. Tickets bought from the driver cost more, with a legal surcharge; in recent years the on-board price has been around €1.70–2.00. A €5 day ticket covers unlimited blue-bus travel. Keep some coins handy in case the card reader is not working.

The buses are ordinary city buses. There is no dedicated luggage rack, so large suitcases have to stay with you, and in July and August the bus can be full of hotel staff and locals as well as visitors.

Corfu Airport to the resorts by green KTEL bus

There is no direct bus from Corfu Airport to Kassiopi, Sidari, Kavos, Acharavi or Paleokastritsa. To go by public transport, take line 15 to the KTEL intercity bus station on Eptanisou Avenue in Corfu Town (the second stop) and change to a green bus. The main routes are:

  • A2: Corfu Town – Sidari
  • A3: Corfu Town – Roda – Acharavi
  • A4: Corfu Town – Kassiopi
  • A9: Corfu Town – Paleokastritsa
  • B1: Corfu Town – Kavos
  • B17: Corfu Town – Glyfada

Fares depend on distance. The most recent published fare list (2024) gave around €2.50 to Paleokastritsa, €3.70 to Sidari and €4.80 to Kavos; check current prices at the station ticket office, which opens from 06:30 on weekdays, or online through KTEL Kerkyras. Green buses run more often in summer than in winter, and some routes have only a handful of departures a day, especially on Sundays. With the wait at the station, allow at least 1.5–2.5 hours to the far resorts. Timetables are on the KTEL Kerkyras website.

This works well for one or two people with light bags arriving in the morning. With children, several suitcases or a late flight, a taxi or transfer is usually the more sensible choice.

Corfu Airport taxi price

The taxi rank is opposite Terminal Building A. Corfu taxis use a meter, and fares follow the national Greek tariff, with extra charges for airport pick-ups, luggage and night-time travel (roughly midnight to 05:00). There is no published fixed fare from the airport, so what you pay depends on the meter and the exact address. As a guide:

  • Corfu Town, Old Town or the port: around €20–30, 10–15 minutes.
  • Kanoni, Perama, Benitses or Gouvia: a short ride further, usually 15–30 minutes.
  • Paleokastritsa, Glyfada, Sidari, Acharavi, Kassiopi, Kavos: a long ride of around 45–75 minutes, with fares several times the town fare.

Ask the driver for an estimate for your resort before you set off and ask for a receipt. In high season, when several charter flights land together, there may be no taxis at the rank for a while. Ride-hailing apps are not a dependable option on Corfu, so do not rely on one for your arrival.

Walking from Corfu Airport to Corfu Town

The airport is about 3 km south of the Old Town, so walking is possible with a small backpack: allow 40–50 minutes. Most of the route follows busy main roads with narrow pavements, and it is hot in summer, so it is not pleasant with a suitcase. The bus is a better budget option.

Pre-booked private transfers from Corfu Airport

For anyone not staying in Corfu Town, a pre-booked transfer is often the most practical choice. It is worth it when:

  • you are going to a resort an hour or more away, such as Kassiopi, Sidari, Acharavi or Kavos;
  • you land on a busy summer weekend, when the taxi queue can be long;
  • you need child seats, which standard taxis do not normally carry;
  • you are a group of five or more, or carrying golf bags, diving kit or a pushchair;
  • you arrive late in the evening and want a fixed price agreed in advance;
  • you want a driver waiting in arrivals with a name sign.

Local operators listed on intransfers.com include Get Corfu Transfer, MK Corfu Transfer and Corfu Transfer Services. You can contact them directly and compare their prices, vehicles and child-seat options. See all companies on our Corfu Airport transfers page, or the wider list on the Corfu transfers page. Give the operator your flight number so the driver can follow delays, and confirm whether the price includes waiting time and luggage.

Corfu Airport to Kassiopi, Sidari, Kavos and Paleokastritsa

Corfu is larger than many visitors expect, and the roads to the north are winding. Approximate driving times from the airport:

  • Paleokastritsa (west coast): around 25 km, roughly 30–50 minutes. Green bus A9 from the KTEL station.
  • Glyfada and Pelekas (west coast): around 15–20 km, roughly 30 minutes. Green bus B17.
  • Sidari (north-west): around 37 km, roughly 45–60 minutes. Green bus A2.
  • Acharavi and Roda (north): roughly 50–60 minutes. Green bus A3.
  • Kassiopi (north-east): roughly 50–60 minutes along the coast road through Ipsos and Barbati. Green bus A4.
  • Kavos (far south): roughly 50–70 minutes. Green bus B1.

These times are for normal traffic; on summer changeover days the coast road north of Corfu Town can be slow.

Corfu Airport to Saranda, Albania

Boats to Saranda in Albania leave from Corfu’s New Port, which bus 15 serves directly. The crossing takes roughly 30–35 minutes by fast passenger boat and about 50–70 minutes by car ferry. In summer there are many sailings a day; in winter there may be only one a day, and car ferries do not run. Bring your passport, as Saranda is outside the Schengen area. If you plan a day trip with a driver on the Albanian side, Taxi Altin & Tours Saranda is listed on intransfers.com.

Tips for arriving at Corfu Airport

  • Night arrivals: line 15 stops before 23:00, and in winter the airport itself is open only from 07:00 to 22:30 (6 November 2026 to 27 March 2027). Late summer charter flights mean a taxi or pre-booked transfer.
  • Runway closure: the airport has announced that all flights will be suspended from 20 to 28 January 2027 for runway reconstruction. Check with your airline if you are travelling then.
  • Use the official rank: take taxis only from the rank opposite the terminal, check the meter is running, and ask for a receipt.
  • Payment: Greek taxis must accept cards, but card readers are not always working; carry some cash for the bus and as a backup.
  • Tipping: not expected; rounding up or a few euros for help with heavy bags is common.
  • Summer Saturdays: when many charter flights land at once, queues at passport control, the baggage belts and the taxi rank all grow. Allow extra time for onward plans.
  • Leaving Corfu: from the far resorts, allow at least 1.5 hours to the airport by road in summer, plus check-in time.
