fonaCAB is one of Belfast’s biggest taxi companies. It began in 1962, when Sidney McCausland bought his first 15 black taxis, and it is still a family business. Today it looks after a fleet of over 1,200 cars and drivers.
Belfast taxi fares
Fares follow the meter:
- Day (Mon–Fri 6am–8pm): £3.20 start, £4.40 for the first mile, then £1.86 a mile
- Evening (Mon–Thu 8pm–6am): £4.00 start, then £2.03 a mile
- Weekend (Fri 8pm–Mon 6am): £5.00 start, then £2.03 a mile
